Professional EXPERIENCE

SEO & Content Marketing Consultant

Various clients | March 2019-present

My goal as an SEO and Content Marketing consultant is to provide my services to small business clients in the retail and arts industries. This includes developing editorial strategy, frameworks and audience personas; writing brand style guides; producing content; performing SEO site audits, content gap analyses, keyword research; writing for web, social media and blogs. During my time as a consultant, I’ve helped:

  • Vettd: A men's fashion review site and content publisher looking to define their brand strategy and launch a beta site.

  • Piece Out: A millennial-targeted jigsaw puzzle brand looking to launch a website and blog.

  • Valley Rose Studio: An ethical, sustainable jewelry maker looking for more customers on Etsy via SEO techniques.

SEO Marketing Associate & Content Specialist

Stitch Fix, San Francisco, CA | March 2016–March 2019

I spent three years at Stitch Fix building their in-house SEO program. It was my role to identify and analyze SEO growth opportunities, assess and prioritize projects, and work with cross functional partners to execute. Out of everything I worked on, I’m particularly proud of my SEO content strategy for the women’s and men’s fashion blogs. Being the subject matter expert on SEO, as well as a former editor, made it easy to build rapport with the Content Team and get them excited about collaborating. Together, we grew organic traffic +110% YoY and earned over $4M in revenue.

Community Operations Manager & Safety Process Specialist

Uber Technologies, San Francisco, CA | July 2014–March 2016

I joined Uber during a time of immense growth. During that time, I trained, coached, and managed 14 customer support representatives and handled high-tier support issues. I specialized in CSR engagement, spearheaded an internal newsletter, and launched a podcast to interview and celebrate CSRs from all over the country. I also developed internal processes and policies related to customer support, specializing in Trust & Safety.

HEad of editorial

How About We for Couples, San Francisco, CA | March 2013–July 2014

HowAboutWe for Couples was a membership-based service that delivered one-of-a-kind experiences to subscribers every month. As the lead storyteller, I launched the San Francisco website, then oversaw the expansion of the team to include editors in Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York. From managing the city editors and managing all projects to creating the brand voice & tone guide, the job required me to be creative, nimble, and detail oriented.

EDITOR

Yelp, San Francisco, CA | August 2011–March 2013

I joined Yelp shortly before it went public, working on the Community Marketing Team. My job was to develop content for the Weekly Yelp newsletter which was sent to over 10 million users across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. A lot of my day to day involved being a steward of the Yelp voice and coaching local marketers to be better writers, but I also worked with Design and Marketing to conceptualize and create content for promotional events.

Managing Editor

Flavorpill SF, San Francisco, CA | March 2010–August 2011

Flavorpill SF was an online culture publication, local events website, and editorial newsletter. I managed the strategy and content production for the site (over 100K monthly visitors) and weekly newsletter (over 50K subscribers). As part of my duties, I planned, researched, wrote, and edited content, managed freelance contributors, and partnered with local event companies like NoisePop to throw parties and promote the brand.
